A HUGE Shout Out to my Maddie and Mike O’Laire of Smart Source Seafood - A small Family run Fishing Business in Alaska. Each summer, they harvest sockeye salmon in Bristol Bay, Alaska aboard our 32-foot gillnetter. The rest of the year, they live on a small homestead in Homer, Alaska. The halibut is thick buttery and luscious. We have several recipes planned- fish and chips pan seared - blackened halibut, grilled halibut. It’s very good tasting fish. I’m not disappointed.—-my daughter likes fish tacos made with halibut

The F/V Courageous is currently in the Nushagak fishing district with about 650 other boats, waiting for the sockeye salmon to strike.
